CUWiP UK is open to undergraduate students studying physics (or related joint honours) at universities in the UK or Ireland who identify as female.
The application deadline was 5pm GMT 12 February 2021.
We aim to inform applicants of acceptance via email the week commencing 22 February 2021.
Successful applicants will be given instructions for registering, which will include paying the £15 registration fee to contribute towards a conference pack to be mailed to accepted participants (UK and Ireland addresses only). Applicants should ask their departments for support to pay the £15 registration fee.
Please complete all parts of the application form and write a considered Application Statement, describing in brief your background, goals and why you would like to attend the conference (200 to 300 words). We will use a number of criteria to decide who will be awarded a conference place, including your statement, as well as the following:
- priority will be given to students meeting one or more widening participation criteria
- priority will be given to those who can attend all three days of the conference
- priority will be given to those who have not attended the conference previously
- priority will be given to 3rd and 4th Year undergraduate students, although we encourage undergraduates at all levels to apply.
